Digital Accessibility

It is not an option. It’s a responsibility.

We live in an increasingly digital world, where every click is an opportunity to include — or exclude. Digital accessibility isn’t just about people with disabilities – it’s a valuable choice, enhancing the online experience for everyone.

Websites, apps, digital content: every element can (and must) become an open, usable, inclusive space. Because innovation is not true innovation if it is not for everyone.

  • Why have an accessible site?

  • Having an accessible website is not just a matter of regulatory compliance, it brings with it numerous benefits:
  • Improved user experience for everyone: ensure that every person, regardless of their skills or limitations, cause the website easily and efficiently.
  • Increased SEO Performance: Accessible sites tend to be better positioned in search engines, as they comply with SEO best practices and are easier for crawlers to read.
  • Improved Corporate Image: An accessible site reflects a modern and inclusive vision, which attracts a wider and more attentive clientele.
  • Regulatory Obligation: the Stanca law first, and then the Accessibility Act, have gradually expanded the audience of subjects required to guarantee accessible digital tools. Adapting to these regulations is essential not only for ethical reasons, but also for legal ones.

How we work

To ensure the highest standard for our digital accessibility services, we have been working since 2023 in partnership with sitiaccessibili.it, a team of professionals that for over 10 years has been dealing with validations in accordance with WCAG guidelines 2.1 and 2.2 and the directives of the Italian Digital Agency AgID according to regulations: n.4 2004 (Stanca law) – EEA (European Accessibility Act).

Conformity assessment is carried out with human resources by means of a technical verification consisting of

  • Tests carried out by personnel expert in digital accessibility according to the UNI CEI EN 301549:2021 standard.
  • Analysis with applications and our software systems that validate the code, the contrasts and the structure of the headers and the accessibility of documents
  • Evaluation on the navigation of portals, apps and use of documents by the use of assistive technology (screen reader; magnifying software, braille displays, pointers, screen readers, dictation and voice control software, etc).

All analyzes are carried out evaluating both disability from a physical and cognitive point of view.

A continuous process: Lovemark Accessibility Program

Design and development

We design the interface of your site in a way that ensures a smooth and understandable browsing experience for all users, regardless of their physical or sensory abilities.

We develop and introduce the technologies necessary to ensure that the site meets accessibility standards, making it truly inclusive and usable by anyone.

Assessment: accessibility analysis

The first step in making a website accessible is an analytical phase that evaluates the state of the art of accessibility. Thanks to the tests of the main pages and user tests, it is possible to identify the strengths and areas for improvement in relation to the WCAG standards, producing the report & repair document

Remediation: fixes and improvements

The operational remediation phase focuses on correcting the issues that emerged during the assessment. This process includes:

Definition of intervention priorities
Fix critical issues
Testing and validation of interventions

Maintenance: continuous maintenance

Accessibility is an ongoing commitment. We offer a maintenance service aimed at ensuring that the site remains compliant with accessibility standards, even with the addition of new sections.
This service includes:

Monitoring of new published sections and their verification with a view to accessibility
Annual update of the accessibility statement, with a check on the new pages published since the last statement

Training: training for an inclusive digital ecosystem

Training is a key element in ensuring that accessibility becomes an integral part of the site creation and management process. We offer a personalized training plan, designed for the customer’s needs. Core training modules include:

  • Thinking Accessible and Digital: General Introduction to Digital Accessibility and its Importance.
  • Accesible content writing: Writing techniques for inclusive content, both textual and multimedia.
  • Digital content creation: Good practices for respecting accessibility when creating digital content.

Investing in digital accessibility means creating an online environment that can be enjoyed by more people, improving interaction and participation. If you want to make your site truly inclusive, we at Lovemark are ready to guide you in this process.
